Looking back at some of the reviews of “That Girl” from ten years ago, I smile. This book was never meant to be a series; it was a one-off, but I toyed with the idea of a follow-up, thinking only I would want one. As the reviews rolled in, a common theme emerged: people wanted more.
Although it has taken ten years to put pen to paper, the first draft hardly deserves a standing ovation in the grand circle of the book’s life if publication is the ultimate goal. But I argue that completing a first draft is key; it’s the story’s DNA.
It’s time to send this DNA to the lab! (in this case, my editor).
“That Girl” (Book 1) is available on AMAZON.
